– The witness overheard colleagues discussing an arrest that the IDAC (Independent Directorate Against Corruption) had contacted them about on 26 June 2025. The arrest targeted high-ranking employees of the police. – He raised concerns because a matter of this magnitude — senior police officers — was moving forward without a DDPP (Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions) overseeing it and without a chief investigator assigned. – The courtroom was packed with police officers. If a prosecuting group does not have a TDPP, the witness testified he cannot see how they can legally proceed.
